How do I know which volunteer job to choose?
Please refer to our volunteer job descriptions (check back in September for 2014 updates) which are listed alphabetically.
When will I receive my volunteer assignment?
Your final volunteer assignment will be emailed to you the week prior to the event.
Do I have to volunteer the whole day?
While we recommend volunteering for the whole day, we realize that may not be feasible. Please let us know in advance if you are unable to volunteer for the whole day.
Do I need to fundraise?
While not required for volunteers, many volunteers do fundraise. For more information on fundraising, click here.
What happens if it rains?
Bike MS is a rain or shine event.
What should I wear?
Volunteers are encouraged to dress for the elements, to dress comfortably and wear closed-toe shoes. When registering, you will be asked to provide your t-shirt size. Sizes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We will do our best to provide the size requested, but this is not guaranteed.
Is transportation provided?
Due to liability guidelines, transportation is not provided for volunteers.
Will this volunteer activity count towards community service hours?
Yes, volunteering counts towards community service hours.
What if I’m riding on Saturday, can I volunteer on Sunday?
Of course, many cyclists volunteer on Sunday and we can use you! As a registered cyclist, you will not be able to sign up online so please download the registration form and return it by email, mail or fax, or contact us at (215) 271-1500 or by email.
