GRS Courses: Materials & Reminders

The future of Bike MS: City to Shore Ride is in YOUR hands! With 7,000 cyclists on the road during City to Shore weekend, all with a variety of skill levels, it’s important to know how to ride safely and courteously in a massive group. The dangerous actions of a few can jeopardize the League of American Bicyclists logofuture of this ride for all. Bike MS provides the necessary tools to educate all City to Shore cyclists on proper riding etiquette but it’s up to YOU to become a Responsible Cyclist.

Bike MS has partnered with the League of American Bicyclists (LAB), a national organization dedicated to cycling, cycling advocacy and cycling education, to offer our cyclists free Group Riding Skills (GRS) Courses.

Bike Inspections
Bike inspections are offered at all GRS courses this year. To receive free bike maintenance the weekend of City to Shore, you must have your bike 'Bike MS Inspected' at one of our sponsoring bike shops prior to the ride. The inspection is free, only takes a few minutes, and serves to identify any major mechanical issues.

Note: mechanical repairs will NOT be offered at the course - only inspections. Click here for more information on bike inspections.

Registration/Cancellation Information
Register now for a GRS course. Bike MS is waiving the usual fee for this course and offering it for FREE to registered cyclists. Registration for all courses closes at noon the Thursday prior to the course.

Capacity for most courses is limited to 30 participants. Once courses reach maximum capacity, registration for that date and location will be closed (no exceptions).
